Leigh Olsen, Director
I created Corp HR and Tradie HR because of my energy and passion for HR, New Zealand businesses and people. I also believe in doing things right and helping people enjoy what they do.
With decades of working in corporate environments both in New Zealand and abroad, I am experienced in dealing with most types of corporate activity and behaviour – (the good and the not so good!).
I feel privileged to have worked with some of the best at companies such as Fisher & Paykel Finance, Fisher & Paykel Healthcare and Sonova. I have a wealth of experience across all levels of HR with particular expertise in managing company restructures, conducting investigations and building positive workplace cultures.
In 2012 I completed my Masters degree in Human Resources & Organisational Development. Working full-time whilst completing my degree enabled me to transfer this knowledge back into the work environment, creating a number of HR best practices that I use for my clients today. I’ve been fortunate to have held positions from those sole-charge HR Manager roles through to sitting at the executive table as GM of HR.
It’s my desire to help New Zealand businesses become irresistible places to work. I work with business owners and managers in creating and defining their EVP to help drive productivity, loyalty and ultimately business success.
The vision I have, whether it be for Corp HR or Tradie HR, is to help businesses grow positive workplace cultures. It is my wish that all New Zealanders look forward to going to work each day and go home in a better state than when they arrived.
